A: The mother told her to give the baby some soup.
A: La mamá le dijo que le diera sopa al bebé.

B: So?
B: ¿Entonces?

A: Well, she did not understand, so she gave the baby some... jabón.
A: Bueno, ella no entendió, así es que ella le dió jabón al bebé.

B: Oh – “soup” /sup/ and “soap” /sop/ - almost the same. I know what you mean. My friend lost her job housecleaning.
