La regla de la “S”/ The “S” Rule
y ...IT......
En el presente en inglés usamos la forma básica del verbo
(sin la palabra “to”).
El único cambio que hacemos es el de agregar una “s” a la terminación del verbo en la tercera persona singular :
"he” (él), “she” (ella), “it” (ello)…
Y un nombre de una person, ciudad, cosa, etc.
Ejemplo: talk - hablar
Persona Singular Plural
1ª I talk We talk
2ª You talk You talk
3a He talks They talk
She talks
It talks
Third person singular = he, she, it
INCLUYE
el nombre de:
una persona – 'Juana', 'Roberto'
una cosa - 'house', 'hot dog'
una ciudad - 'Guadalajara', 'San Diego'
una pais - 'Mexico', "England'
un titulo - President, secretary
un libro - 'DON QUIXOTE" etc., etc., .....
‘IT’ (IET)
In English we almost always use pronouns in comparison to Spanish.
The pronoun “it” is very popular, and it is the 3rd person singular pronoun that substitutes for things, animals, the weather, etc.
So let’s practice “it”.
IT’S = IT IS
THE WEATHER / CLIMA
It’s cold
It’s hot
It’s raining
It’s snowing
It’s sunny
It’s cloudy
TIME
It’s one thirty
It’s three nineteen
It’s a quarter past seven
EXPRESSIONS:
It’s a nice day
