HOW I CAUSED A BIG PROBLEM FOR ONE OF MY STUDENTS (ESPANOL SIGUE)

I once taught High School students in Tijuana. There were 35 to 50 students in each of my 8 classes.

During one class I said in Spanish to the students to practice pronunciation every morning in front of a mirror, like this:

Say out loud the letters G, J, L, R, and V five times.

Then say the short I, short U, and TH.

I demonstrated how to say the sounds and everybody laughed.

I said: “This is your homework (tarea).”

The next day I asked the students if they had done their homework.

They all laughed except one girl.

She said: “Si Profe, pero tenia un problema.”

I asked in Spanish what was the problem.

She said that while she was doing the exercises in the bathroom in front of the mirror, her father walked by and asked her what she was doing.

She told him she was doing her English Pronunciation exercises that Profe Pablo had told her to do.

He said: “OY, OY –This teacher is crazy!”

SO ----anyway, all I can say is …English is crazy, no?

I’m sorry!!!!

BUT I promise you can learn the pronunciation of English using these techniques, I promise!!!!!

CÓMO HE CAUSADO UN PROBLEMA GRANDE PARA UNA DE MIS ALUMNOS

Una vez enseñé a los estudiantes de secundaria en Tijuana. Había 35 a 50 estudiantes en cada uno de mis 8 clases.

Durante una clase que dije en español a los estudiantes para practicar la pronunciación cada mañana en frente a un espejo, así:

Diga en voz alta las letras G, J, L, R, y V en cinco ocasiones.

Luego diga el corto I, corta T, y TH.

Demostré cómo decir los sonidos y todos rieron.

Yo dije: "Esta es tu tarea (Tarea)."

Al día siguiente le pregunté a los estudiantes si habían hecho sus deberes.

Todos se rieron, excepto una chica.

Ella dijo: "Si Profe, but ONU tenia Problema".

Le pregunté en español cuál era el problema.

Ella dijo que mientras ella estaba haciendo los ejercicios en el baño delante del espejo, su padre se acercó y le preguntó por qué estaba haciendo.

Ella le dijo que estaba haciendo sus ejercicios de pronunciación Inglés que Profe Pablo le había contado que hacer.

Él dijo: "OY, OY -Este maestro es una locura!"

SO ---- todos modos, todo lo que puedo decir es ... Inglés es una locura, ¿no?

¡¡¡¡Lo siento!!!!
